The Story of the Mayflower – Special Edition

£25.00

In 1620, the Mayflower Pilgrims escaped persecution in England and near servitude in the Netherlands to live in freedom in the New World. Half of them died on the stormy voyage and in the first freezing winter.

Behind the quaint version of the story told in school lies a tale of violence, subterfuge and epic drama. This film tells the whole story, including friendship and mutual support with the local Native Americans for 50 years.

This Special Edition features exclusive Behind the Scenes interviews with the incredible team behind Dartmouth Museum’s Mayflower Exhibition, with stories of its development and how it all came together. Also included is a special film on the build of the Kirkwood Replica Model, presented by Project Manager and Shipwright, Capt. Ian Kirkwood.
